Rakim Athelaston "A$AP Rocky" Mayers is a rapper, as well as a street racer participating in Lakeshore's illicit underground racing scene and host of The Grand.
Born on October 3, 1988 in Harlem, Manhattan, New York City, before moving to the Bronx when he was four, and then to Rutherford, Hershey, Pennsylvania by age eight.
He started rapping at age nine with help from his older brother, Ricky, following their family moving to Charlotte, North Carolina before moving back to Harlem a year later.
After moving back to Harlem, he became more invested in rap though admiration of Harlem-based groups following Ricky being shot on a street corner at age twenty and later dying in hospital.
In 2007, he joined A$AP Mob, a Harlem-based group with interests in music, fashion, and art, leading to his first single in July 2011, "Purple Swag".
In Lakeshore, he hosts the Takeover events and The Grand - Lakeshore's ultimate street racing challenge.

"Always $trive And Prosper"[]
In "Always $trive And Prosper", a delivery mission triggered during the night session for Thursday, Week 3, A$AP Rocky calls the player to meet up with him and go for a drive together in his custom Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 (1988).
When he calls the player, they can drive to his location in the Edgewater district. He's aware the player is trying to make it into The Grand and wants to see how they drive, giving them the chance to drive his custom 190E and deliver it to a location in the Lakeshore Quarry district within a time limit.
Along the way, the player reveals they're nervous about meeting him, but he replies at length that people's admiration and idolisation of him has meant he feels as though he's not seen as a regular person following his musical career success.
He also reflects on the player's problems with Yaz and how they should channel their grievances into their competitive driving.
After the player reaches the Lakeshore Quarry location, A$AP Rocky is impressed with their driving ability and wants them to drive to a location in Underwood Gardens. En route, he expresses that hard work and teamwork can propel people out of their circumstances as well as help build positive communities.
Head to Head: "1v1 for the 190E"[]
During the night session for Friday, Week 4, the player can challenge A$AP Rocky to a Head to Head at the University Meetup.
Beating him will reward the player with A$AP Rocky's custom Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 (1988).
