Template:InfoboxCar2The Aston Martin DBS is a grand tourer, positioned and priced higher than the Aston Martin DB9. It was featured in the 2006 James Bond movie 'Casino Royale' and in 'Quantum of Solace'. Production was launched in 2007.

Need for Speed: World

Template:NFSWlink Need for Speed: World players received the Aston Martin DBS on March 15th, 2012 as a Tier 3 top-up gift. Since March 28th, 2012 the DBS was replaced a new top-up car, the Porsche Panamera Turbo.

It has been featured as a Class A vehicle since August 22nd, 2012, when it was made available for purchase in the car dealer at the same. An in-game cash variant was added on September 5th, 2012.

The DBS can be bought for SpeedBoost4,700 with Amerikon Speedsystems street tuned parts installed. It has an overall rating of 699. The in-game cash version has no parts equipped and an overall rating of 665. It costs Dollar icon1,800,000. It is possible to upgrade both variants to Class S.

Acceleration of the DBS is relatively powerful in contrast to the fastest Class A cars in the game. It only gains a moderate amount of speed when using nitrous. The DBS turns well in slower turns but suffers from heavy steering under high speed, because of a high weight. Top speed is 191 mph (308 kmh). The street tuned version can reach 215 mph (346 kmh).

The DBS is best used in pursuit events to take advantage of its acceleration and weight. It can race well in multiplayer events too, considering it is faster than most cheaper in-game cars. However, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 and Lexus LFA are noticeably better overall.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)

The Aston Martin DBS appears in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) as a Super classed racer and Rapid Deployment classed SCPD vehicle.

The police version is unlocked upon collecting 88,000 bounty, making it the first Rapid Deployment vehicle to be unlocked in the game. The racer version is only playable in the SCPD Rebels Pack DLC for the PS3 and Xbox 360 releases.

As seen by most grand tourers in the game, the DBS has a heavy steering. Its acceleration is average. The DBS is not as competitive in races as a Lamborghini Gallardo or Aston Martin V12 Vantage, but suitable for police chases.
