The 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant (C8) is an all-wheel drive, high-performance executive wagon by the Audi Sport division of Audi.
The high-performance RS 6 options were revealed in August 2019, following on from the S6 renditions shown in April 2019, and the A6 first revealed at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show.
The C8 RS 6 marks twenty-five years of the RS linage - a long line of high-performance wagons built as a mesh of performance and practicality - with occasion celebrated with a more aggressive look based on the second-generation R8 and the RS 6 going on sale in North America for the first time.
Alongside the exterior changes, it is fitted with a 4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 591 bhp (441 kW) and 590 ft·lb (800 N·m) of torque - 147 bhp (110 kW) and 147 ft·lb (199 N·m) more than the S6 - and a mild-hybrid system capable of recovering power start/stop operations.
As power is sent to all four wheels through the quattro all-wheel drive system, it is distributed 40% to the front wheels and 60% to the rear wheels through a mechanical centre differential, which can be adjusted based on wheel slippage for up to 70% to the front wheels or 85% to the rear wheels.
It is also offered a "Dynamic" package offering an increased top speed of 174 mph (280 km/h), a quattro sport differential splitting torque across both wheels of an axle, and all-wheel steering, with the also "Dynamic Plus" pushing the top speed further to 190 mph (306 km/h) on top of the other additions. An optional RS sport exhaust system feature black exhaust tips.
