The Audi S4 (B7) is a sports saloon based on the B7 Audi A4.
It is priced below the Audi RS 4 and is the second most powerful car in the A4 series. The 4.2L FSI V8 produces 340 bhp and 302 lb-ft of torque.
Top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph (250 km/h). The B7 S4 is the second and the last model in the S4 range to be fitted with a V8.
Need for Speed: ProStreet
The S4 appears in Need for Speed: ProStreet as a tier 2 vehicle with a $40,000 price tag. It is unlocked upon dominating the Showdown: Chicago race day.
Since the S4 has the highest power output within tier 2, it is one of the quickest accelerating cars of its range. This comes at the expense of handling as the S4 is not as responsive as less powerful and lighter vehicles.
Need for Speed: Shift
The S4 appears in Need for Speed: Shift as an unlocked Tier 1 vehicle with a $42,000 price tag and 4.50 car rating.
Shift 2: Unleashed
The S4 appears in Shift 2: Unleashed as a Modern Road vehicle with a $26,000 price tag. It has a D 480 performance rating and a 3.43 handling rating.
The S4 offers a lot of power for straight roads, making it up to par with the Nissan 350Z in that field. It can become unstable in corners although it is reliable in most situations.
