Revision as of 10:42, 10 May 2014
Template:InfoboxCar2The BMW M3 E36 is the second generation of the BMW M3 series.
It is the first model in the M3 range to be equipped with an inline-Six and built as sedan. Unlike the BMW M3 E30, it was not designed as a homologation car.
The European M3 E36 was available with a 3.0L inline-six (282hp) until 1995, when the engine was replaced by a stronger 3.2 inline-six unit in 1995.
Shift Series
The BMW M3 E36 appears as a Tier 2 car in Need for Speed: Shift with a price tag of $50,000. It is capable of a Works conversion and has a car rating of 4,10.
The BMW M3 E36 appears as a Retro Road car in Shift 2: Unleashed with a price tag of $19,900. It has a D 419 performance rating and a 3,05 handling rating.
The E36 has powerful acceleration and responsive handling. Main drawbacks of the car are its low top speed and oversteer, when entering a corner too fast. It is competitive in most race modes, especially in Drift events.
