The 2012 BMW M6 Coupé (F13) is BMW's third generation of its high-performance variant of the 6-Series.
Built on BMW's latest F13 platform, it receives various upgrades over the standard 6-Series: the twin-turbocharged S63B44Tu engine, its own differential, and a 7-speed M-DCT gearbox.
Optional extras include carbon ceramic brakes, which is the first for a BMW M car, competition package which adds 15 extra horsepower and recalibrates the chassis for sharper response, and a 6-speed manual transmission.
