Breaking Point is a Hot Pursuit event featured in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and it is a racer career event.
The event is unlocked by beating Hotting Up. It can be accessed from the Coral Bay racer node on the career map, and is a Hyper Series event.
Route[]
The event starts heading west on Grand Ocean Road. The racers continue along the coast down the entirety of this road. At the following junction, the route continues on Sunset Drive past the lighthouse. The racers drive down this road and then down Mission Beach, before continuing onto Hope Road after crossing the motorway. The finish line is located towards the end of this road.

SCPD Units[]
Two SCPD McLaren F1 Special Response units will be engaged in pursuit from the start. Another unit will enter pursuit at the lighthouse (9.5 miles remaining). Another unit will engage in hot pursuit from a hotel on Mission Beach, after the access to the sizeable beach shortcut (6.8 miles remaining). Additional units will engage in pursuit if the previous units are taken out. These units will use EMPs, Helicopter Support, Roadblocks, and Spike Strips.
