The 1955 Buick Century Riviera Coupé is the 2-door coupe version of the second generation Century manufactured by Buick.
Introduced in the middle of the 1955 model year, the Century would be made available in coupe, convertible, sedan, and estate wagon body types. It also prominently features four "VentiPorts" on each of the front fenders, a traditional Buick styling cue.
Buick used a smaller, lighter body powered by a 322 cu in (5.3 L) "Fireball" OHV V8 engine mated with a Dynaflow automatic transmission with the intent of having a performance vehicle.
