The 2016 Cadillac ELR is a luxury plug-in hybrid car from Cadillac. It shares a similar drivetrain with the Chevrolet Volt.
The ELR was launched in 2013 with a 16.5 kwh battery pack and an electric only range of 37 miles (60 km), with a total engine output of 181 hp (135 kw); there was no 2015 model produced.
Cadillac relaunched the ELR in 2016 with a larger 17.1 kwh battery, increasing the electric only range to 39 mi (63 km) and upping the power to 233 hp (174 kw). The 2016 model also included an optional performance package with Brembo brakes and unique wheels.
