The 2012 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle is a sixth generation line-up model in the WM-WN Caprice range fitted with a law enforcement package.
The civilian models entered production first in 2010 as an update to the third generation Holden Caprice from the WM Series II through WN Series II range, but was sold in North America under the Chevrolet brand after being imported from Elizabeth, Adelaide in South Australia from 2010-2017.
The Police Patrol Vehicle package didn't enter production until 2010 as a 2011 model includes dual exhausts, a larger front stabiliser bar, new front struts, a bespoke instrument cluster, front seat indents for belt equipment, and seat-mounted pelvic airbags.

The Chevrolet Caprice appears in the game files of Need for Speed: Rivals. Several files indicate that the Chevrolet Caprice PPV was cut from being a Redview County Police Department patrol vehicle.[1][2]
