The Chevrolet Cobalt SS (2004) is a sporty compact car that was manufactured by Chevrolet powered by an LSJ 2.0L I4 engine with an Eaton supercharger.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted
The Cobalt SS appears in Need for Speed: Most Wanted that is available from the beginning of the career mode and costs $26,000, making it the cheapest car in the game.
It has the worst handling statistics out of the three starter cars, but it's very responsive and grippy. Fully upgrading the SS will greatly improve its acceleration and top speed.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0
The Cobalt SS appears in Need for Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0 and is available from the beginning of the game. Victor Vasquez drives a special variant with a body vinyl similar to Kira Nakazato's Mercedes-Benz CLK 500.
Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City
The Cobalt SS appears in Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City and is unlocked once the player defeats Marcus in the PlayStation Portable release. In the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance releases however, the Cobalt SS is available from the beginning of the game.
Need for Speed: ProStreet
The Cobalt SS appears in Need for Speed: ProStreet as a tier 1 vehicle. The player can receive a Cobalt SS as a reward for successfully dominating the first Battle Machine event - Challenge: Nevada.
