The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51 (C8) is a sportscar developed and manufactured by Chevrolet.

First announced on April 12, 2019 with a camouflaged pre-production model parked in Times Square, Midtown Manhattan, New York City, the sixth-generation Corvette was first publicly shown on July 18, 2019 with a special event hosted by Chevrolet, following multiple pre-production prototype sightings at the Nürburgring Nordschleife in late 2018.

A convertible was later revealed at the Kennedy Space Center on October 2, 2019.

It is the first mid-engine Corvette model with prior generations having a front-engine layout, but was outlined by the car's engineering team that they had taken the front-engine, rear-wheel drive configuration as far as they could with the previous generation ZR1.

Fitting the engine into the middle of the chassis gives it a 61% weight bias to the rear although the launch control system and increased rear bias give it an improved launch.

The Stingray is offered as the base model although a Z51 package is also offered including Michelin Pilot Sport 4S ZP tyres, firmer suspension, FE4 system three dry-weather mode adaptive dampers, a front splitter, a rear spoiler, a third radiator behind the driver's side air intake, air scoops directing air to the brakes, larger brake rotors, an electronic limited-slip differential, a shorter final drive ratio, and a dual-mode exhaust.

Over the standard Stingray, the Z51 produces five more brake horsepower and five more pound-foot of torque.
