The Chevrolet Express (also known as GMC Savana 2500) is the successor to the Chevrolet Van. The Chevrolet Van had been built for 32 years until it was replaced by the Express in 1996.
The first generation Express model was produced until 2002, before receiving a facelift.
Chevrolet solely offers the Express with one V6 and numerous V8 engines. Since 2006, two 6.6L Duramax turbocharged diesel V8s have been added as new options.
