The Chevrolet Express (also known as GMC Savana) is the successor to the Chevrolet Van. The Chevrolet Van had been built for 32 years until it was replaced by the Express in 1996.

The first generation model was produced until 2002. The second generation Express has been in production for 9 years.

Chevrolet solely offers the Express with one V6 and numerous V8 engines. Since 2006, two 6.6L Duramax turbocharged diesel V8s have been added as new options.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) features the Chevrolet Express as an AI traffic car. On the side of the car, a GMC 2500 badge can be seen, even though it has a Chevrolet badge on the front.

In Need for Speed: The Run, the Express appears as the rebadged GMC Savana.

In Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), the van appears throughout Fairhaven in traffics and parking lots.
