Country Woods is a course in Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit and the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes.
Course[]
The course is a winter variant of Hometown, detaching from the covered bridges to a route that consists of narrow turns, twists and varied elevation changes. Notable landmarks such as the doughnut shop, the gas station and the school building can be spotted at the beginning of the route.
Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit[]
It is available from the beginning in the PC release, and is unlocked in the PlayStation release after competing in the beginner or expert tournament.
The police vehicles patrolling the course in Hot Pursuit mode are the Chevrolet Caprice in the PlayStation release or the Ford Crown Victoria in the PC release.
Need for Speed: High Stakes[]
It is set in the United States and is unlocked by competing in the Memory Lane Tour, Circuit #3.

Trivia[]
- The musical pieces "Little Sweaty Sow" by Saki Kaskas and "Hydrus 606" by Rom Di Prisco play when participating in an event along the course.
- In the PlayStation release, there are minor differences compared to the PC release such as icicles under the waterway arches and snow on the signs.
- The course is featured in the PC release of Need for Speed: High Stakes without alterations compared to the PC release of Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
