Template:InfoboxCar2The Dodge Challenger SRT8 is a high performance variant of the Dodge Challenger produced between 2009 and 2012.

Dodge equipped the car with the same 6.1L Hemi V8 as the standard Challenger but is offered with either a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission as standard.

Also equipped as standard to the Challenger SRT8 are Brembo brakes, sport suspension, bi-xenon headlights, heated leather sport seats, a Sirius satellite radio, and 20-inch forged aluminium wheels.

The car was replaced in 2012 by the Challenger SRT8 392 which features various upgrades including a larger displacement engine.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)

The Dodge Challenger SRT8 is featured in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) as a Performance series class racer vehicle and as a Highway Patrol SCPD unit.

The racer Challenger SRT8 is unlocked upon the player earning 193,000 bounty in the racer career and the SCPD Challenger SRT8 can be only be unlocked in the Limited Edition release.

It is not as effective in race events as the 2010 Ford Shelby GT500, but is able to keep up with the Chevrolet Camaro SS and other Performance series class cars. The SRT8 is durable to most impacts due to its heavy mass, performing well in pursuits.

It is featured as a class D racer vehicle in the Nintendo Wii release and is available in the iOS release. The SCPD Challenger SRT8 is also available in the Wii and iOS releases.

Need for Speed: The Run

The Dodge Challenger SRT8 is featured in Need for Speed: The Run as a Tier 2 vehicle in its stock configuration, as a Tier 4 Need for Speed Edition vehicle, as a Tier 4 K&N Edition vehicle, and as a Tier 5 Sinister Signature Edition vehicle.

The K&N Challenge Series is unlocked upon the player completing Stage 3 of The Run.

The Tier 2 variant has a "Very Difficult" handling rating, but posseses strong acceleration and a high top speed.

The Need for Speed Edition and K&N Edition are average Tier 4 cars with a "Very Difficult" handling rating. Both cars feel heavy in corners and are prone to oversteer in difficult corners such as hairpin turns.
