- For fictional minivan traffic vehicle, see Minivan.
The 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan (Gen. 5) is a series of minivans produced by Chrysler and marketed by Dodge. The first generation was produced from 1983 to 1990. The newest generation (generation V) has been in production since 2007, but received a design facelift for the 2011 model onwards.
Generation V is based on Chrysler's RT platform, which is also used by the Chrysler Town & Country, and Volkswagen Routan.
The 3.3L V6 SE is equipped with an older Chrysler's V6 engine that was produced between 1990 and 2011. The engine was only available with the SE trim models for 2008 to 2010, and is capable of running on petroleum, compressed natural gas or E85 ethanol.
