Drift Competition is a career event featured in Need for Speed: Shift. It is unlocked upon obtaining 50 stars.

Event Unlock Description[]

Our first shot at the drift events, you're being judged not only for speed, but also style. Remember to use the handbrake, keep your speed, and get as close as possible to the cones.

Tutorial[]

Drifting is the art of maintaining the edge of control. Use the handbrake to kick-off the drift, then feather the throttle and brake to maximize it. It's a combination of speed, angle, and distance.

It's a battle of three rounds. The winner will have the best combined total of all three.
— Chief Engineer
