Electronic Arts Victor Inc. (エレクトロニック・アーツ・ビクター株式会社, Erekutoronikku Ātsu Bikutā Kabushiki-gaisha) was a joint-venture between Electronic Arts and Victor Entertainment, a subsidiary of JVC.
Starting in September 1992 in Tokyo, Japan,[1] the company's primary task was to convert Electronic Arts' library of products to Japanese language and distribute them in Japan, as well as to create original titles for the Japanese market as well.
In December 1997, Electronic Arts acquired Victor's 35% stake in the venture, and in May 1998 signed a similar joint-venture deal with Square to publish EA titles in Japan, called Electronic Arts Square.
