The 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback (Gen. 1) is a 2+2 variant of the first generation Ford Mustang, and the facelift produced from 1969 to 1970, replacing the previous Mustang Fastback.
The 1969 facelift has extended body length and width, quad headlamps placed both inside and outside the grille opening, and a corralled grille pony replaced with the pony and tribars logo set off-centre to the driver's side.
The 1970 year model Mustangs were slightly restyled, returning to single headlamps which were moved to the inside of the grille opening with "fins" on the outside of the grille sides.
