The 1970 Ford Mustang Mach I (Gen. 1) is a a performance-oriented option package for the Mustang pony car manufactured by Ford.
Only available in the "SportsRoof" fastback body style, the standard the Mach I is powered by a 5.8L 351W small-block V8 engine coupled with a 3-speed manual transmission. Options included the signature "Shaker Hood", which consists of an air scoop mounted directly on the top of the engine.
In 1970, its body included dual-beam headlights with sport lamps, recessed taillights, the side scoops behind both doors were removed, and new badging was introduced. The 351W V8 engine was also replaced by the Cleveland (351C) 5.8L V8 in either 2V or 4V versions.
