The Ford Mustang SSP (Special Service Package) is a police package for the 1993 third generation Ford Mustang LX 5.0.

It was offered by Ford for high-speed police chases and was often assigned as a highway patrol vehicle.

The Mustang SSP appears in The Need for Speed as a police vehicle.

It is utilised by the police to chase and stop the player in various race courses and can not be driven by the player. It also appears in the full motion video sequences when the player is arrested by the police officer.
