"Friendly Competition" is event #59 of Underground Mode in Need for Speed: Underground.
It is offered after the player beats event #56: "Kick Out That Tail", event #57: "Chad's Back", and event #58: "And Then There Was One".
Beating the event allows the player to proceed to five events:
- Event #60: "Bright Lights Big Spoiler"
- Event #61: "Stadium Sprint"
- Event #62: "Glow, Baby, Glow!"
- Event #63: "Straight Up"
- Event #64: "Free Style"

The player is invited to a Circuit event with Jose to compete for the #6 spot in the Circuit Rankings leaderboard.
