That's what I wanted to talk about. I'm thinking we can help each other. Form a crew. Unless you got any better offers on the table? Ana
Alright! Okay, if we're gonna climb the ladder to the League, we gotta get ourselves a race against another crew. Remember Kenny? |

Look, this ain't about me. This about YOU making your mark, so our crew can move up. People already know me. I'll watch your back, but gotta win this. Prove you're not some deadbeat like... Ana
Well, you know Kenny... he's just a mid-life crisis on wheels. Then there's Daryl, he don't say much but he's the talent. They're the ranking crew so they got to pick the route. And Kenny ain't the type of guy to make life easy on anyone but himself, so expect unpleasant surprises. Take the next left coming up. There they are. |

Synopsis[]
Ana and the player have beaten the Speed Boys but, as they celebrate their victory at a Gas Station in Mendoza Keys, Ana notices that her 350Z is being towed.
Confused and franticly trying to figure out how to get her car off the tow truck, she is blindsided by Danny Shaw - a member of Frank Mercer's High-Speed Task Force for the Palm City Police Department - and is subdued by his aggressive use of authority.
With Shaw taking charge of the situation, Ana and the player are paralysed in place having become unsure of Shaw's motivation through his use of intimidation. Shaw explains a car reported street racing matches the description of Ana's car and he has the power to impound it.
Ana struggles to keep her head up although the player doesn't feel the same, but Shaw is quick to maintain order at the slightest sign of any insubordination, even to the extent of deriding Ana for attempting to answer his questions, to which the player scoffs and is belittled by Shaw in return.
As Shaw continues to mock Ana and the player, Eva Torres contacts Shaw for a status update and adjuvates him. Now aware of his informal interrogation is taking too long, Shaw demands Ana to hand over the keys for her car, which the player expresses as being peculiar for a car towing, but their notion is swiftly dispensed by Shaw.
Having gotten the keys to Ana's car, Shaw reminds here that she has ten days to claim her car before it's crushed but express he isn't sure on the timetable to leave her with doubt she will get her car back. Shaw instructs the two truck driver to leave, then dumps both Ana and the player's ID cards on to the ground before also leaving.
Without a car and having been thoroughly rebuked by Shaw, Ana timidly asks the player for a ride back to her place.

...Wake up the team, we got one en route. You! Back up from the vehicle. ID. Let's go. Rivera, huh... This your vehicle? Shaw
Depends. See, we got a bunch of reports about a vehicle matching this description involved in illegal activity. Eyes front! Which means I got the power to impound it. Where you been tonight? Shaw
Zuuppp Keys. You want it back? You got 10 days or we crush it. It think it's 10, might be less. Drive safe. |

Arriving at Ana's place |
"What this shows, is that my task force is needed."[]
Synopsis[]
The following morning a WFFL 86 News Special Report shows coverage of a street race from the previous night and reports it caused thousands of dollars in damage before transitioning to a press conference with Frank Mercer declaring it justifies his task force taking stronger measures.
At Lucas' garage, he is working on Papi's Camaro as the player walks over to him, quick to point out the news report sounds like someone was trying to get noticed but is negated by the player. The player responds asking Lucas if he misses street racing, which Lucas also negates.
Pressing Lucas further, the player says Ana told them Lucas was a really good street racer and asks why he quit. Lucas replies that he isn't apathetic to Ana's actions but he does feel she isn't fully aware of there could be ramifications for her, even pointing out he's fully aware the news report was with regards to Ana's actions but is surprised she hasn't visited him the garage to brag, showing he's also unaware her car was impounded.
The player deflects she's probably too tired to visit but Lucas doesn't reciprocate, as if to know the player is lying to them. Lucas offers the player a chance to earn some bank while Ana isn't around and gets them in touch with Wayne.

You know it sounds just like the kinda thing someone would do if they were trying to get noticed. Lucas
I know she doesn't see it yet. Shit, neither did I. But there's consequences. More than just losing your crew. You know after last night I'm amazed she hasn't come to brag. Lucas
Yeah... You know, if you're free, I may have something for you? Old friend of mine's been bugging me, wants to see what you got first hand. They're connected. Just think maybe it might be worth your while. |
