The 2003 Honda S2000 (AP1) is a rear-wheel drive roadster manufactured by Honda.

The S2000 revived the Honda S roadster series, which was absent for twenty-nine years, with production running from 1999 to 2004.

With the 2000 model year starting production in mid-1999, various alterations and additions were made to the proceeding model years, with the 2002 model year receiving the most alterations, and the 2003 model year being the last "AP1" first generation prior to the second generation "AP2" with the 2004 model year.

For the 2001 model year, both a digital clock and a wind deflector were fitted as standard. For the 2002 model year, both front and rear sway bars were changed, stiffer anti-roll bars were fitted, the dampers were recalibrated, and the spring rates were increased.

For the 2003 model year, little was changed except for the clutch discs used and white body paint colours were offered with an accompanying tan colour interior.

The 2003 S2000 appears in Need for Speed: Underground.

Similar to the Honda Civic Si, it is capable of reaching a high top speed, yet accelerates conspicuously slower than the Mazda RX-7 and the Nissan Skyline R34 GTR. In corners, it performs moderately.

Stock

The stock S2000 is unlocked upon the player winning event #69: "Rush Hour" in Underground Mode and is priced at 28,000 Bank.

Once unlocked, it can be selected for use in Underground Mode, Quick Race, or multiplayer and can be customised.

Chad, a member of The Eastsiders, drives a custom S2000 in Underground Mode from event #93: "Chad's New Toy", having swapped from his Toyota Celica GT-S introduced in event #27: "Wrong Place, Right Time".
