The 2009 Honda S2000 (AP2) is a rear-wheel drive roadster manufactured by Honda.
The "AP2" is a second generation introduced in 2004, having followed on directly from the 2003 model year and replaced the first generation "AP1" that entered production in mid-1999 with the 2000 model year, and continued production until 2009.
The F22C1 engine received a larger stroke that increased displacement to 2.2 litres. The results are a lower peak power rpm of 7800 rpm instead of 8900 rpm, a new maximum torque output of 160 lb-ft and a redline at 8000 rpm.
Other major changes that were applied to the S2000 are a refreshed appearance and a revised suspension setup coupled with new tires to increase driving stability.
