Hot Item is a Job mission featured in Need for Speed: Undercover. Rose Largo is the player's contact for this mission.
The mission begins with the player stealing a Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG at the Sunset Hills Reservoir at 6:57 p.m.
Rose informs the player that she has a client waiting for the car and that they have to get to the garage within 90 seconds. The player's arrival at the garage is quickly interrupted by the sudden appearance of the Tri-City Bay Police Department. Rose says that it could be a tip-off and that the player must lose the cops to complete the mission.
Carmen Mendez calls the player to tell them that Zack Maio has been caught up in a job he didn't sanction. She believes that the job may be connected with the disappearance of the Maio brothers and their crew.
