The 2019 F-Type R Convertible (X152 II) is a convertible sports car manufactured by Jaguar.
First shown at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in London, and later at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, the production F Type Convertible follows on from three different F Type concept cars: the 1986 XJ42, the 2000 F-Type, and the 2011 C-X16.
The coupé was revealed the following year at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, although it went on sale a year after the convertible, the R trim was made available for both in early 2014.
For the 2017 model year, a facelift was introduced with a new front bumper and LED headlights, as well as an updated interior with lighter seats alongside a new touchscreen display. It is fitted with the same supercharged 5.0L V8 and an electronic limited-slip differential first introduced with the model's launch in 2013, but produces slightly more power and torque.
In early 2020, a second facelift was introduced with a more comprehensive trim naming scheme.
