Equipment utilised by the Lakeshore Police Department (LPD) allows units to engage in pursuits of suspects actively associated with illicit street racing.

Through the use of communication, pursuit tactics, and support units, the LPD can effectively coordinate operations across Lakeshore.

Dispatch[]

Dispatch co-ordinates units across Lakeshore with constant communication including managing resource priorities, relaying instructions, and escalating active pursuits.

They are able to organise reinforcements, equipment placement, and suspect searches.

Scanner[]

The police scanner allows units and dispatch to remain in contact via radio transmission, allowing for effective co-ordination of pursuit resources.

Roadblocks[]

Roadblocks are deployed by the Lakeshore Police Department to either control a suspect's direction of travel or slow down the pace of a pursuit.

There are two types of roadblocks setup by the LPD during pursuits, although the type positioned and the units included is tied to the suspect's Heat Level, but the arrangement differs depending on the location they are established.

Types[]

Smashable[]

NFSUB LPD Roadblock1

A smashable roadblock uses blue barriers, cones, and units to deter suspects, with their presence indicated using blue lights.

Although not formidable and easy broken through by any vehicle, the barriers can slow down vehicles from a high rate of speed.

Spike Strip[]

NFSUB LPD SpikeStrip1

A spike strip roadblock uses a varying number of devices designed to puncture the tyres of a suspect and either impede or disable their vehicle, with their presence indicated using red lights.

The devices can puncture the tyres of both suspects and LPD units, although the tyres of the player's vehicle can reinflate after a short period of time.

Even though the main deployment for a spike strip roadblock are tyre shredding devices, blue barriers, cones, and units may also be utilised in their establishment.

Arrangements[]

Row[]

NFSUB LPD Roadblock2

A roadblock row spans the width of a road or location and is intended to stop any vehicles from passing.

The length of the row depends on the width of the road a roadblock is established along and the accompanying units deployed.

Chicane[]

NFSUB LPD SpikeStrip3

A roadblock chicane is split into two halves of the road's width or location and is intended to slow down any vehicles from passing.

The length of each row depends on the width of the road a roadblock is established along and the accompanying units deployed, but each typically span half of the road's width to create a chicane.

Units[]

Light[]

NFSUB LPD Roadblock4

Light units are deployed at lower Heat Levels to provide additional support in a roadblock.

They can appear in any type or arrangement of roadblock.

Heavy[]

NFSUB LPD SpikeStrip2

Heavy units are deployed at higher Heat Levels to provide substantial support in a roadblock.

They can appear in any type or arrangement of roadblock.
