The 2018 Lamborghini Aventador LP 740-4 S is a mid-engine sportscar developed and manufactured by Lamborghini.
It was first revealed on December 19, 2016 at Lamborghini's manufacturing plant in Sant'Agata, and was first publicly shown at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
As a replacement for the Aventador LP 700-4, it has an altered exterior body with new front and rear bumpers, as well as new interior elements including a new instrument display with a new driving mode: Ego.
Ego allows the driver to create a driving profile based on the three available modes; Strada, Sport, and Corsa, and select parameters for traction, steering, suspension, and torque.
Alongside the exterior and interior changes, it is the first Lamborghini to feature the "Lamborghini Dynamic Steering" system.
It incorporates an all-wheel drive layout with rear-wheel steering, and allows actuators to shorten the wheelbase length whilst counter turning the rear wheels at low speeds for greater rotation, but also stretching the wheelbase length for greater high-speed stability.
In 2018, an S Roadster was introduced with a removeable roof. Production ran from spring 2017 until mid-2021, at which point production of all Aventador models ceased.
