The 2019 Lamborghini Aventador LP 770-4 SVJ (SuperVeloce Jota) is a supercar developed and manufactured by Lamborghini.
Revealed at the 2018 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance during Monterey Car Week, the SVJ is a track-focused road-legal performance package based on the S refresh.
Producing 29 more horsepower and 22 more lb⋅ft of torque through the use of new cylinder head intake ducts and a lighter exhaust system, the increased output is teamed with a 50 kg lighter body achieved through the use of a carbon-fibre monocoque and an increased number of carbon-fibre components.
Alongside the engine improvements and a lighter overall kerb weight, the use of a new generation of Lamborghini's active aerodynamics system - dubbed ALA 2.0 (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) - produces a 40% increase in downforce. The system relies on a wider front splitter and air inlets across the body to channel air over the body, while front and rear diffusers work with vortex generators to improve underbody airflow.
The underside has 50% stiffer anti-roll bars accompanied by 15% firmer magnetic dampers and a recalibrated rear-wheel steering system, which can work with the ALA system and on-track performance capabilities.
With all the improvements, a 6:44.97 lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife was set by Marco Mapelli on July 26, 2018, making it the fastest production/street-legal lap at the time. The lap is 15 seconds quicker than the previous LP 750-4 SV and just over 40 seconds quicker than the LP 700-4.
In summer 2019, an SVJ Roadster was introduced with a removeable roof. Production ran from early 2019 until mid-2021, at which point production of all Aventador models ceased.
