The 2018 Lamborghini Huracán LP 640-4 Performante is a track-focused sportscar developed and manufactured by Lamborghini.
First shown at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, it is a track-focused variant of the LP 610-4, and went on sale in summer 2017.
With an uprated 5.2-litre V10 from a new intake manifold and titanium valves, it has a faster zero to sixty miles per hour time and a slightly higher top speed. It is also 40kg lighter through use of lighter components such as the lighter and repositioned exhaust system, and multiple forged carbon-fibre exterior components.
A forged carbon-fibre front splitter with active flaps and two rear ducts leading to the engine work with an altered ALA (Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva) system to trade between additional downforce or cooling when needed with up to 750% more downforce than the standard Huracán. Alongside the new aero components, the system can operate "aero vectoring" to adjust handling to compliment the stiffer suspension setup.
As well as the suspension being stiffer, the steering has been adjusted to allow greater turn-in, and the use of Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres allow for greater cornering angles.
On October 5, 2016, Marco Mapelli set the fastest production/street-legal lap time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife in an LP 640-4 Performante, although it was fitted with Pirelli Trofeo R tyres.
Production ran from summer 2017 until mid-2019, with the Evo being introduced in 2019 and the STO going on sale in 2021. A Performante Spyder was also offered as an option between mid-2018 to mid-2019.
