The Mazda RX-7 (FD) (Series 8) for the 1999 to 2002 model years was exclusively manufactured for the Japanese domestic market.
The 1999 model was introduced as a facelift for the third generation of the RX-7 that included several exterior updates and revised turbochargers. The Type RZ and Spirit R were limited edition models of this production series.
Need for Speed Carbon: Own The City
The RX-7 appears in Need for Speed Carbon: Own the City and is unlocked upon defeating Buddy in the PlayStation Portable release or Arjen in the Nintendo DS release. In the Game Boy Advance release, it is available from the beginning of the game.
The player can already use an RX-7 in their first few races in the career mode of the Nintendo DS release before purchasing their starter car.
