The 2009 Mazda RX-8 (R3) is a package for the 2009 to 2012 Mazda RX-8, which is a revised variant of the SE3P model.
The R3 comes with upgraded suspension, 19-inch aluminium-alloy wheels, racing seats, and a rear spoiler as standard.
The 2009 model received a revised front fascia and new rear bumper in order to adopt the styling of the manufacturer's model range at the time.
It was removed from the European market after failing to meet emissions standards in 2010.

The RX-8 (2009) was made available in Need for Speed: World on May 1, 2012 as a tier 1 car. Since August 22, 2012, it has been featured as a D class vehicle.
It shares nearly identical performance with the 2006 model year. Although it's more agile through corners and nearly matches the Mazda RX-7 RZ in terms of handling.

The White style is an Amerikon Speedsystems performance tuned speedboost car that costs 2300. It was initially made available on April 30, 2012 as a top-up gift, and was released in the car dealer on July 16, 2013.
Blue
The Blue style is a rotationally available stock cash car that costs 600,000, and was initially released on February 20, 2013.
"Rockport Rotary"
The "Rockport Rotary" style is a Cop Edition car that costs 2700. It was released on November 6, 2012.
It is fitted with tuned quality Gromlen performance parts, 2-star Skill Mods, and a selection of aftermarket parts.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)[]
The RX-8 appears in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) as a Sports Series racer vehicle, and as an SCPD Traffic Police unit.
The racer vehicle is unlocked upon the player earning a total of 5,000 racer bounty. The SCPD unit is unlocked upon the player earning a total of 10,000 cop bounty.
It is possibly the fastest car in the Sports Series whilst at the same time being the best handling car in both the Sports and Traffic Police Series. It possesses good acceleration, agility, excellent drifting capability, and extremely powerful nitrous. It isn't as durable as other Sports Series cars and thus is most useful in races.
It can be selected with either an Aurora Blue Mica, Velocity Red Mica, Sparkling Black Mica, or a Liquid Silver Metallic body paint colour.

It has a high top speed alongside great handling with good acceleration, agility, excellent drifting capability, and an extremely powerful nitrous boost. It isn't as durable as others in its tier and is more useful in Race events.
