The 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster (C190) is a roadster developed and manufactured by Mercedes-AMG.
The GT was first shown on April 16, 2014, except only its interior was revealed, but was later showcased in full at the 2014 Paris Motor Show the following October. Fitted with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 456 bhp (340 kW) and 443 ft·lb (601 N·m), it went on sale in April 2015 and was soon followed by the more powerful GT R in early 2017.
In October 2016, the GT C Roadster debuted at the Paris Motor Show. In January 2017, the GT was shown at the Detroit Motor Show with a facelifted design including an AMG Panamericana grille derived from the GT3 race car, and produces additional power over the earlier model years.
Although not the high performance trim, the S trim has a tuned engine: producing an additional 59 bhp (44 kW) and 51 ft·lb (69 N·m) than the base trim, an electronic slip differential, an AMG "Dynamic Select" traction control system, a high-performance exhaust system, and a set of staggered wheels; 19" in front and 20" in rear.
The S Roadster variant went on sale in June 2018 and the high performance GT Black Series went on sale in early 2021.
