Template:InfoboxCar2The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is a grand tourer that entered production starting from 2010. It is the successor to the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and was directly inspired by the classic Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

The SLS has an aluminium structure, gullwing doors and is powered by a 6.2L V8. The chassis and body are the first aluminium construction ever made by Mercedes-Benz although most of the engineering was done by AMG. The aluminium frame will later be used in a smaller, cheaper variant of the SLS.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010)

The SLS AMG is featured as a Super class Racer vehicle and a Rapid Deployment SCPD unit. It is unlocked for Racers upon the player earning 495,500 bounty in the Racer career and is unlocked for the SCPD upon the player earning 315,500 bounty in the cop career.

The car can reach a higher top speed than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS although it has generally worse handling due to its increased weight.

The SLS AMG fares well in Pursuits compared to other cars in its category due to its durability.

Shift 2: Unleashed

In Shift 2: Unleashed the SLS AMG has a performance rating of 1070 and a handling rating of 3.66. It can be purchased for $183,000, which is an average price for a Modern B car. 100-0mph braking takes 3.05 seconds.

Need for Speed: The Run

The SLS AMG is a Tier 4 car in Need for Speed: The Run. Calvin Garret drives a red modified SLS AMG known as the Calvin Garett Signature Edition. He appears in Stage 6 and Stage 10 as a rival with both engages involving his tier 5 car. It is unlocked upon defeating him in Stage 10.

The SLS AMG Bling Signature Edition is unlocked upon the player reaching Driver Level 27 and Need for Speed Edition is unlocked upon the player achieving a Bronze Medal in all Windy City Challenges . Both are tier 5 cars.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012)

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG was revealed to be featured a week before Gamescom 2012.

The SLS AMG appears in the final release as a Grand Tourer class car that can be found at various Jack Spots throughout Fairhaven City.

It is featured with powerful acceleration that is up on par with the fastest sports class cars such as the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante alongside a high top speed comparable to the Bentley Continental Supersports ISR Convertible. The handling of the SLS is prone to oversteer but easy to control, making it suitable for long drifts.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) (Mobile)

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG appears in the mobile release of Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) in the GT category. It boasts balanced stats with slightly higher acceleration and speed in its category and costs $350,000. There is an "NFS Edition" that has improved top speed, acceleration, and handling and costs $600,000.
