The 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR (CP9A) is the successor to the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution V.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI received upgrades to the intercooler, oil cooler and new pistons. Originally in two trims of RS and GSR, there was also a special edition of the Evolution VI named after the Finnish rally driver, Tommi Mäkinen.
