Licenced Songs[]
A selection of licenced songs plays during gameplay in free roam mode, as well as during Checkpoint and Pursuit Tag events. The genre of music playing is dependent on the car class of the current car being driven by the player.
The selection of songs can be toggled to play in either the menu, free roam, during an event, or be turned off in the EA Trax menu.

- The original rendition of "Feel the Rush" by Melody can be found in Need for Speed: Carbon - Own The City, albeit with its title being misattributed to being the Junkie XL remix.
- A remix of "Hard Drivers" by Ekstrak feat. Know-1 is played in the introduction cinematic of Need for Speed: Carbon. It is also used in Need for Speed: Carbon - Own The City.
- A remix of "Staggered Injection" by Ekstrak can be heard in the Purgatory Bar in Mass Effect 3.

- The instrumental of "Porsches" by Ekstrak can be found in the game files of Need for Speed: Carbon.
- A remix of "Hard Drivers" used for the Stacked Deck boss race against Kenji, Angie and Wolf is misattributed in the game's files to Legowelt's 2002 song "Disco Rout"[1]
- "Disco Rout" appears in the "Downtown Palmont" chapter of the "Carbon Territories" segment of the bonus DVD included with the Collector's Edition of Need for Speed: Carbon.[2]
