The Remastered Content included with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, a re-release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) includes various visual enhancements.

Packs included with the remastered re-release encompass all previously released downloadable content made available for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), which has an additional twenty-three racer cars, ten SCPD interceptor units, two game modes, and three careers with a combined total of thirty-three events compared to its original launch content.

As well as all downloadable content made available for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010), the remaster delivers additional changes.

Visual Enhancements[]

Visual improvements and enhancements for the remaster release include:

  • An uncompressed user interface
  • Higher resolution reflections
  • Higher resolution shadows
  • Improved screen space ambient occlusion (SSAO).
  • More objects and props
  • Greater draw distance
  • Boosted textures
  • Increased particles
  • Increased anti-aliasing (AA)

The PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One releases of the remaster run with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 30 frames per second. The original PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 releases of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) run with a resolution of 1280 x 720 at 30 frames per second, as will the Switch release in undocked mode.

The PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X releases of the remaster can run with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 (4K) at 30 frames per second in quality mode or with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 frames per second in performance mode.

The PC release is capped at 60 frames per second at any resolution.

Cross-Play[]

Cross-play allows players of the remaster to play together in online multiplayer across all releases of the remaster, and compete asynchronously through Autlog. The option to enable cross-play is given to the player during their introduction to the game but can be disabled in the settings menu.

Career[]

The downloadable content events included in the Super Sports, Lamborghini Untamed, and Porsche Unleashed careers are integrated into the cop and racer careers.

Photo Mode[]

The photo mode has been tweaked for easier usability and offer greater flexibility.

Paint & Wrap Editor[]

Multiple racer cars include additional pre-set manufacturer colours as well as an option to apply a custom paint colour, and a wrap editor will be included as some point post-launch with the release of an update.

Achievements / Trophies[]

A unique achievement and trophy list that is separate from the original release.

Missing Content[]

Whilst the remaster includes all cars, including post-launch downloadable content, there are three omissions from the original game's cars list; the Carbon Motors E7 Concept, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Edition, and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss Edition.
