Markers are a series of career rewards featured in Need for Speed: Most Wanted.
The player gets the choice of picking from two of six markers after beating a Blacklist racer. The rewards from each picked marker are randomly generated.
The first three are marked with question marks and may contain either a bonus cash reward, an extra impound strike, reclamation of impounded vehicles, extra get out of jail for free markers or a pink slip to the rival's car.
The last three markers contain customisation items such as aftermarket parts, Junkman performance upgrades, and vinyls.
It is only possible to select two markers. Players cannot undo a marker selection.
Markers were reintroduced in Need for Speed: Carbon in the form of Boss Bonus Cards.
Unique Rewards[]
Pink Slips[]
Each pink slip reward comes with a series of pre-applied aftermarket parts and performance upgrades. All cars with the exception of Bull's Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren are featured with a unique vinyl that cannot be reapplied upon deletion.
All pink slip cars can be driven in Quick Race mode.
Performance[]
Junkman performance parts permanently raise a performance aspect of a vehicle and can be stacked with any level of regular performance upgrades. They are obtained through Unique Performance Upgrade markers and only available in limited quantities by certain Blacklist racers. Players may access the backroom of any shop to get a hold of Junkman upgrades.

Unique Part and Unique Visual markers contain a randomly selected customisation item reward. A marker may reward a unique vinyl, hood, set of rims, spoiler, or gauge.
