Cars in Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) include a wide selection of vehicles from various manufacturers. An unlocked vehicle can be accessed through the EasyDrive menu.
Cars
Performance
Each vehicle has a specific set of performance statistics based on their acceleration, top speed, control, weight, off-road ability, and toughness. A vehicle that has a better rating than the player's current vehicle is shown with a green bar, a worse rating is shown with a red bar, and an equal rating is shown in blue.
All of these statistics combine to give each vehicle an alternate set of capabilities.
Modifications
Performance statistics can be altered with the application of modifications as they will enhance a vehicle's characteristics in a specific manner.
Unlock
In single player, every vehicle, with the exception of the Most Wanted cars, can be unlocked by the player discovering their Jack Spot in Fairhaven City.
In multiplayer, players unlock cars by earning Speed Points towards their SpeedLevel, which unlocks cars as they reach higher levels. Some cars, such as the Dodge Charger SRT8, Ford Focus ST, and those included in downloadable content packs, may have unique unlock requirements.
Need for Speed Editions
Special Need for Speed edition cars are made available in multiplayer. They fitted with pre-set modifications and have a Need for Speed logo (
) next to their name within the EasyDrive menu. They can not be altered with modifications or be resprayed.
