Need for Speed: Most Wanted (BREW) is a mobile phone adaptation of Need for Speed: Most Wanted for Qualcomm's BREW.
Developed for Qualcomm's BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) by Ideaworks3D, it was made on December 21, 2005.[1]
Much of the game's data is streamed via Verizon's V-CAST service in the United States, requiring a network connection to play the game, until the service was discontinued in 2012.
A later J2ME release for mobile was developed by Firemint.
Gameplay[]
The Career follows the player defeating 15 Blacklist members through 90 available events.[2]
Completing events rewards cash, which can be spent to upgrade the player's car.
Three event types are available for Career and Quick Race modes: Outrun, Speed Camera, and Boss Outrun. The Career mode features a map interface to select races, shops, and locations. Police chases are present and the player's saved scores can be seen in their rap sheet.
Full motion films, as well as EA Trax's 16 songs, can be selected by the player to download to their phone's memory for playback during gameplay.[3]
Cars[]
16 cars are available, and players can upgrade their cars with performance and visual customisation parts.
Setting[]
Five districts covering six types of environments are included: Beachfront, Residential, Resort, Industrial, Inner City, and Commercial. Each district also has a selection of weather conditions.
