Drift Pro

Drift Pro is an event type in Need for Speed: Unbound introduced as part of Volume 7 and is available in the multiplayer Lakeshore Online mode.

It is a checkpointed circuit event in which participants earn points by drifting their vehicle, similar to Drift Events, although all participants are required to fit Drift Tyres to their cars.

Up to four participants compete against each other with individual turns along the route to earn points. The winner is the racer that earns the most amount of points from their run of the route.

Scoring

Points are earned based on the speed, angle, and duration of a slide, but are not banked until the slide has ended.

As players bank points, their total score is updated in the standings for the current event and is visible to all participants.

• 20 points: Drift
• 250 points: Nice Drift
• 750 points: Good Drift
• 1,500 points: Great Drift
• 3,000 points: Amazing Drift
• 5,000 points: Epic Drift
• 7,500 points: Insane Drift
• 10,000 points: Drift Pro

Multiplier

The multiplier is active from the beginning of an event, starting at x1.0 and escalating up to x3.0.

Players can build up their multiplier by performing long drifts, multiple drifts, and by chaining multiple drifts in succession.

Twin Drift

Players can initiate a "Twin Drift" score bonus by drifting in tandem with another player participating in the event.

Both players have to be drifting in the same direction and within close proximity of each other.

Collisions

Although players can not collide with other participants in an event, they can collide with traffic and obstacles.

Colliding with a traffic vehicle or a solid obstacle will cancel the player's current drift and void any unbanked points, as well as reducing their multiplier.
