Gauntlet Playlists in Need for Speed: Unbound are playlist championships in the multiplayer Lakeshore Online mode and were introduced with the release of Volume 4.
Each playlist has a set performance tier with a selection of three events - either Corner King, Speed Race, or Street Race - and a set Heat level as players are being pursued by the Lakeshore Police Department.
The amount of health a player's vehicle has is persistent across all events in the playlist, as damage taken is retained through the selection of events in a playlist, although players can repair by driving through any gas stations situated along the route of an event.
As players compete against each other, they'll earn points based on their finishing position for each event. If a player loses all their health and wrecks, or is busted by pursuing LPD units, they are knocked out of the playlist with no rewards given.
