Rivals in Need for Speed: Unbound are recurring opponents in events throughout the single-player Story mode and the league in the multiplayer Lakeshore Online mode.
The selection of rivals for each event differs depending on the performance tier rating but all opponents participating can be viewed prior to starting an event at a meetup location.
Some rivals may request assistance from the player through a Racer SOS and successfully helping them will unlock access for the player to use their safehouse.
