Paint & Wrap in Need for Speed: Unbound allows players to create unique wraps for their cars using the Wrap Editor including multiple new decals from leading designers, new fonts, and new street art.

It can be accessed in the garage by navigating to the "Rides" menu, then to the "Style" section, and finally to the "Paint & Wrap" sub-section.

Paint[]

Car bodywork can be repainted using a selection of finish types and custom colours.

Colour[]

A selection of pre-set and previously applied colours shown as an HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) colour palette.

Material[]

A selection of pre-set and previously applied materials shown with accompanying representative icons.

Professional[]

A series of sliders and options to create a specifically tailored paint material.

Hue[]

The hue slider is used for altering the colour for the paint material.

Saturation[]

The saturation slider is used for altering the colour intensity for the paint material.

Brightness[]

The brightness slider is used for altering the colour value for the paint material.

Material[]

Material is a selection of paint compositions and applied base surfaces.

Colour Shift[]

Colour Shift is a selection of pigments for the paint material, allowing for multiple colours depending on the viewing angle and lighting.

  • Single - Single colour pigment with no secondary shift.
  • Near - An analogous colour pigment with a supporting adjacent shift.
  • Opposite - A complementary pigment with a contrasting shift.
  • Spectrum - A range of colours.
  • Iridescent - A metallic shifting pigment changing colour based on viewing angle and light source.
Glossiness[]

The smoothness and sheen of the material.

  • Gloss
  • Satin
  • Matte

Wrap[]

Decals can be applied in the wrap editor to create unique liveries for all cars using a selection of fonts, brands, street art, and artwork from other Electronic Arts properties.

Additional decals can be unlocked by finding and collecting Street Art locations across Lakeshore.

Decal Categories[]

Remove Wrap[]

The Remove Wrap menu can applied paint and wrap design for the currently selected vehicle can be removed.

Library[]

A collection of saved paint and wrap combinations created by the player organised into two categories:

  • Current Ride - Only the saved designs for the currently selected vehicle
  • All Wraps - All saved designs across all vehicles

All saved design can be re-applied to any owned vehicle.

Community[]

Designs created by players can be shared to the greater community and downloaded by other players, although the selection is restricted to a per platform basis.
