Volume 7, dubbed "Drift and Drag", is the seventh content update for Need for Speed: Unbound.

First teased on May 16, 2024[1], it was revealed on May 20, 2024[2], and was made available on May 21, 2024 at 08:00 UTC / 01:00 PT / 09:00 CET for the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S releases.

It was succeeded by Volume 8 on August 22, 2024.

As the seventh volume, following on from Volume 6, it features two new vehicles: the BMW M3 Competition Touring (2023) and the Ford Mustang Dark Horse (2024).

It adds new Drag and Drift Pro event types within the multiplayer Lakeshore Online mode for both Free Roam as well as PvP.

League, another new addition to multiplayer Free Roam, includes a series of challenges players can complete to take on the various rivals in Lakeshore with the roster of thirteen opponents changing through out the duration of the volume and each offering their car as a prize for beating them in a one-on-one drag race.

As players participate in Lakeshore Online, the Speed Pass offers rewards for levelling up through 75 levels.
