Visual Customisation in Need for Speed: Underground are aftermarket parts equipped to cars in order to alter their visual appearance and create unique designs.

Players can unlock new parts by progressing through Underground Mode, with parts applied to a car adding to the reputation rating of a car, which multiplies the amount of Style Points earned during events.

Body

Body customisation includes parts to change the look of a car's bodywork includes bumpers, side skirts, spoilers, hoods, roof scoops, and wide body kits.

Rims

Rims customisation includes aftermarket wheels for replacing the stock wheels of a car.

Accessories

Accessories customisation replaces, alters, or adds exterior components to a car including headlights, taillights, neon kits, muffler tips, and window tinting.

Paint

Paint can be applied to a car with a selection of various colours, finishes, and separate car components.

Decals

Decals can be applied to various segments of a car's bodywork.

Vinyl

Vinyl designs can be applied to a car's bodywork and overlaid on top of each other to create a unique livery.
