A Special Event is a timed sprint race in which the player receives a special reward upon completing the event in the time given. It is depicted as a gold star on the world map.
Unlike regular sprint races, the map is not restricted during Special Events, as there are no barriers. The player must find their own path towards the destination.
Types[]
- Magazine covers, which are awarded for achieving certain race win counts.
- DVD covers, which are awarded for achieving a certain Star Rating. They are required for completing contracts and therefore progressing in the game.
- Unique upgrades, which significantly improve the car's visual rating and performance.

- Magazine and DVD cover events also provide a small cash reward.
