Art Director cars in Need for Speed: World are a series of unique cars with performance upgrades and special visual customisation components. They are modified based on design concepts, promotional material, or uniquely themed styles as well as vehicles featured in previous titles in the Need for Speed series.
Each Art Director vehicle is fitted with a unique paint job, neon, and licence plate. Their aftermarket parts - including wheels - are often not available for individual purchase from the Aftermarket Store.
Performance parts installed to these cars are typically Gromlen race tuned parts, with the exception of the Audi A1 Clubsport quattro and Audi TT RS as they are installed with Amerikon Speedsystems street tuned parts, and specifically tuned cars installed with unique performance parts.
Art Director cars can only be purchased with SpeedBoost, although some exceptions were made during the "End of the World" event as it lead closer to the sunsetting of the game's servers.
